Join us for a Free Lunch & Learn to discuss life after the Bar and job search strategies. 

Marilyn Shell, Senior Attorney at Johnson Legal Group in Fort Worth, will present “Life After the Bar as a Guardian of the Legal Profession” and Artie Errisuriz, Assistant Dean of Career Services, Texas Wesleyan School of Law, will discuss job search strategies.

Marilyn Shell shares tips and strategies for newly licensed attorneys on setting up your own practice, strategies for Solo or Small Firm Practitioners, and Client Development Techniques.  She is a seasoned attorney with over 30 years experience in estate planning, family law and probate and guardianship, in general civil practice in solo and small firm practice.  She currently practices with Johnston Legal Group, P.C.


Artie Errisuriz will share tips for alumni looking to make a move within the legal profession with an overview of job search strategies - how to utilize the various job banks available to Wesleyan Alumni, structure and update your law school resume and cover letter to incorporate new legal experience and will conclude with the do’s and don’ts of networking.  He has been with Career Services for 4½ years and served as the Director of Admissions & Recruitment for over 2 years.  He served as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office prior to joining Texas Wesleyan.
