Texas Wesleyan University School of Law is hosting its second annual Law Mini Camp for Kids aged 12-14 years old this summer. The program is designed to introduce the concept of law as a career to youth in under-served or lower-socioeconomic communities. The camp will be offered four times this summer to 40 middle school students each session. An estimated total of 200 students will interact with law students and explore a crash-course geared toward a career in law. Students will participate in negotiations, develop written and oral advocacy skills through mock trial and moot court simulations, and listen to guest speakers that have obtained a career in a law profession. We have also advertised this camp with local community organizations and churches who offer free or low cost summer care to children.
