Did you know that while we have only had an annual fund giving campaign since 2006, each year our alumni giving rate has increased?   For example, 13 alumni made a gift in 2006, 21 alumni made a gift in 2007, 43 alumni made a gift in 2008, and 266 alumni made a gift in 2009.  As alumni of Texas Wesleyan School of Law, we are part of its history – and more importantly, we are a part of its future.  With every one of our achievements, we bring recognition and prestige to the law school, but it is our financial support that offers the highest return.

As you are probably aware by now, the number of alumni gifts directly impacts our law school’s rankings with institutions such as the American Bar Association and U.S. News & World Report.  Additionally, your gift to the Texas Wesleyan Law School Annual Fund benefits our alumni community by funding, among many other things:

• Networking opportunities such as our monthly alumni luncheons and CLEs as well as our Alumni Weekend activities, including the Crawfish Boil and Greenhill Golf Tournament;

• Facility and technology improvements at the law school as well as library acquisitions, which are available to us as alumni; and

• Career development services such as the online job bank, Simplicity and career counseling.

Every single gift, no matter the size, is important and guarantees our law school’s continued success.  This year my husband (Nathan Graham ‘08) and I pledge to support our law school by making a gift to the Wesleyan Law School Annual Fund – and we are asking you to do the same.  Whether you pledge $100 ($8.33 per month) or $1,000 ($83 per month), your gift will make a difference.  If each of us makes a gift of at least $100, we will raise over $280,000!
